Bernadette graduated from WAAPA’s honours program, LINK Dance Company in 2011. In 2012 she toured regionally with Tasdance, performing in works by Anton, Frances Rings and Marnie Palomares. Locally Bernadette has performed in works by Buzz Dance Theatre, Sue Peacock, Aimee Smith, Jo Pollitt, Patrice Smith, Claudia Alessi, Bianca Martin and Kynan Hughes. In 2014 she was nominated for most outstanding female performer at the WA Dance Awards.

In 2015 Bernadette was awarded a STRUT SEED residency in which she collaborated with Israeli artists Joel Bray and Oded Ronen to begin making En Route. She was then commissioned by WAAPA to create an original work, 10,000Things, for first year dance students.

Bernadette has been teaching dance for nearly 15 years. Some of her most memorable experiences include Buzz Dance Theatre’s 2013 Big Stretch Tour to remote indigenous communities in the Pilbara region and Dirty Feet’s (NSW) The Right Foot Project. She has taught for many leading dance institutions including WAAPA, STRUT, the WA Ballet, Ausdance, FORM Dance Projects (NSW), Dynamic Performing Arts and John Curtin College of the Arts.
