WA CHOREOGRAPHIC OPPORTUNITY WITH Co3

Co3 Artistic Director, Raewyn Hill is seeking submissions to the Co3 Choreographic Lab (Co:Lab) for 2019.

Expressions of Interest are open to WA dancers, choreographers, directors and artists.

Co:Lab aims to be a platform by which WA artists are able to experiment, explore and devise choreographic ideas. Working with Co3 company dancers, in consultation with Artistic Director Raewyn Hill, Co:Lab offers artists the opportunity to focus on the development of choreographic practice and the creation of work. As the Resident Company at State Theatre Centre (STC), your Co:Lab will be hosted by STC.

In 2019, Co3 will offer one Co:Lab position. The successful applicant will be provided with mentorship from Raewyn Hill, up to four Co3 dancers, a dance director, studio space, some technical support and a fee.

Applicants are required to send an expression of interest of no more than one A4 sized page including:

– The concept (500 words max)
– The intended length of the work
– Who is the work pitched towards (large scale/small scale/schools or gallery audiences/ film/ photography)
– A short bio with headshot
– 2 x URL links to previous work
– Contact Details
We anticipate this activity to take place in November 2019. Please include your availability when submitting your EOI.

All EOI’s will be assessed by the Artistic Director and invitations will be made directly to successful applicants by mid December 2018. Unsuccessful applicants will be notified by email.
