Co:Lab is a platform where Western Australian artists are able to experiment, explore and devise choreographic ideas. Working with Artistic Director, Raewyn Hill and Co3 Company Dancers, Co:Lab offers artists the opportunity to focus on the development of original work without the pressure of a performance outcome. Work created in Co:Lab will be considered for further development in the Co3 Australia artistic programming. Expressions of interest are open to Western Australian dancers, choreographers, directors and artists through an annual application process.

Co:Lab recipients are provided with a weekly fee, up to four Co3 Australia Dancers, studio space and production support for one week.

“For many applications and grants that I apply for, there is always an outcome, whether that be a presentation or a showing. To remove that limitation from the week has meant that I can delve into the many interests that have emerged in my independent practice. It has allowed me to interrogate, question and challenge decisions which perhaps I wouldn’t have the time to do so if I was working towards an outcome.”
