Co:3 Australia has been granted the prestigious Saison residency which will see Japanese sculptural artist, Naoko Yoshimoto visit Perth to build two walls that are an accumulation of bricks made from used white garments. With the histories of individuals soaked into the used garments, we ask our community to share their own story of the garment.

Using donated white clothing to encapsulate the history of the garments and the experiences woven within, we are seeking donations of white clothing of any kind. Each special piece of donated fabric will be used in the creation of fabric bricks to create the set of a new Co:3 production in 2020.

Through shared stories, Naoko Yoshimoto will create sculptural art that engages Western Australia’s diverse community. A set that echo’s stories of Perth and celebrates a unique Australasian collaboration.

Donations can be made between May 15 and June 20.

We will be taking donations at our office in the King Street Arts Centre, Level 1 357-365 Murray Street Perth, 6000 from 9am-5pm, Monday – Friday.

If you wish to email us your story please send in your story to info@co3.org.au and attach a completed media release form below.

We are taking donations of white cotton garments in any condition.
