Lachlan started dancing when he was 7 years old at Patricia Ann School of Dance on the Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne learning a broad range of dance styles before auditioning for Melbourne-based Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School. Graduating in 2015, he furthered his training at the New Zealand School of Dance (NZSD) in the contemporary stream (2016 – 2018).
In 2016, he worked with choreographer Tane Mete in He Taonga and performed in the World of Wearable Arts show.
In 2017, Lachlan danced in Douglas Wright’s Quartet, Sarah Foster-Sproull’s Forgotten Things and Michael Parmenter’s The Bach.
In his graduating year at NZSD (2018), Lachlan choreographed and performed in Stoa: NZSD’s choreographic season directed by Victoria Columbus. Lachlan was a part of Volk by Damian Jalet, Wicked Fish by Huang Yi, It’s Written in the Walls by Adam Barruch, and Fear of Eggs by Eliza Saunders. He has also worked with James O’hara and Balazs Busa on Movement – A Manifesto, which toured to Auckland as part of the Tempo Dance Festival.
Lachlan joins Co3 to tour Garry Stewart’s Reincarnation in collaboration with the West Australian Ballet for In-Synch: Ballet at the Quarry.
