Co3 proudly continues engagement with youth and the education sector, building upon the incredible legacy of Buzz Dance Theatre and STEPS Youth Dance Company.
Co3 designs and delivers a range of programs using contemporary dance and the performing arts as a foundation to support the holistic personal development of young people. As a company, Co3 prioritises programs for young people that support their development as creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial, equipping them with transferable skills for life in the 21st Century.
Central to Co3 youth and education engagement, is the creation of a positive risk-taking environment that builds resilience, grows self-confidence and interpersonal communication skills, and develops leadership potential in all participants.
Our Act-Belong-Commit Co:Youth program links to the high-performance culture of the wider company, and aims to explore and reflect on young peoples’ understanding of themselves and their being-in-the-world.
Within primary education, Co3 initiates a child-centred framework that is engaging, participatory, and collaborative, and draws on the creative energy and ideas of the young participants.
At a secondary and pre-tertiary level, Co3 provides a rigorous approach to assist technical fluency and deeper investigation of contemporary dance as a movement language
Co3’s youth and education programs are supported by Healthway through their Act-Belong-Commit initiative.
