CELEBRATE A DANCE LEGACY

Since Co3 first raised its curtains with re:Loaded, on 28 October 2015 at the Heath Ledger Theatre, Raewyn Hill has boldly shaped Western Australia's contemporary dance company into a powerful and transformative force within the Australian arts landscape.

Over twelve years of visionary leadership, Raewyn has created world-class, award-winning dance works, championed pathways for Western Australian artists, and inspired thousands through the power of contemporary dance. Her legacy is one of breathtaking performances, ambitious artistic risk, boundary-pushing collaborations, and audiences left profoundly moved by the Co3 stories told on our stages.

Her artistic vision has brought extraordinary works to life. From the 23-dancer ensemble traversing a monumental rising tiered set in ARCHITECT OF THE INVISIBLE, to the haunting beauty of ARCHIVES OF HUMANITY, where handmade birds filled the State Theatre Centre as dancers moved across a bed of sand. Under her leadership, Co3 has presented work in theatres, galleries, beaches and in virtual reality, reaching audiences across Regional Western Australia and internationally, from Aotearoa, New Zealand to Osaka, Japan.

Now, after twelve remarkable years, Raewyn prepares for one more Co3 opening night.

Raewyn Hill's final world premiere as Co3’s inaugural Artistic Director will be a centrepiece of Co3's 2027 season, a culminating artistic moment that celebrates a career defined by creativity, courage and innovation.

Honour and support in this final work, which represents the culmination of twelve years of artistic excellence, service and unwavering commitment to the Western Australian dance sector.
