CONNECT26: ARCHITECT OF THE INVISIBLE is aligned with the 2023 full length work of the same name, created by Raewyn Hill with music by Ian Grandage, lighting by Mark Haslam and set design by Tyler Hill.
Our residency programs are designed to positively influence young people by creating meaningful opportunities for connection. Students connect with their bodies through physical movement, with their peers through shared experiences, and with their own interests through imagination and exploration. Through dance, students are encouraged to explore the world around them and to deepen their understanding of themselves.
Each Co3 residency offers a rich and layered experience, delivering a wide range of benefits consistently acknowledged by students and educators. While outcomes may vary, the centre of every residency remains the same. Young people are placed at the heart of the process. These residencies are a powerful vehicle for self-discovery, expression, and connection.
As Western Australia’s State Contemporary Dance Company, Co3 is committed to maintaining a strong and positive relationship with the education sector. Our well-planned and carefully designed programs are widely accepted and inclusive. Our 2026 team of professional Teaching Artists will work across metropolitan and regional schools throughout the year.
SUITABILITY
The program is designed and adapted for ALL students, Year 3 through to Year 12, and is tailored to meet any specific needs, levels and abilities.

In 2026, engagements can be booked for Terms 1, 2, 3 and 4, subject to availability.

At the centre of Healthway and SEW Arts is a commitment to supporting the social, emotional and mental health and wellbeing of young people. Co3 aligns its school and community programs with these priorities, ensuring that our work has positive outcomes for all students.
Through our residences, students engage physically with their bodies, socially with their peers, and creatively with their own interests. Students explore their world and discover their own potential through
movement-based tasks. While there are many aspects to the program, the core purpose remains clear. Young people are central, and these residencies support their growth, confidence, and personal discovery.
Program Alignment with Social Emotional and Mental Wellbeing
The CONNECT program directly addresses social emotional and mental wellbeing by prioritising student agency, emotional awareness, and peer connection. By focusing on low ICSEA schools in Western Australia, the program supports students who are most at risk of disconnection or emotional vulnerability.
This project aligns with Healthway strategies and the SEW Arts Framework by:
- Promoting positive mental health and wellbeing
- Addressing social determinants related to economic disadvantage
- Supporting vulnerable populations and improving access to meaningful engagement
- Strengthening community connection and social participation

CONNECT 2026: ARCHITECT OF THE INVISIBLE, presented by Healthway, Sew-Arts and The Kids Research Institute Australia, promotes mental and physical well-being through movement, self-expression and collaborative discussion. The program supports WA Curriculum links to Dance, Health and Physical Education, Design and Technology, and English (Speaking and Listening).
