New partnership to strengthen contemporary dance sector

  • Co3 Australia is partnering with Australian Dance Theatre
  • WA and SA Governments providing matching $50,000 investments
  • Partnership to increase exposure and employment opportunities for local dance artists


Western Australian contemporary dance company, Co3 Australia has embarked on a partnership with prolific South Australian dance company, Australian Dance Theatre.

Culture and the Arts Minister David Templeman announced the partnership today at the annual Meeting of Cultural Ministers, currently being held in Adelaide.

The dance companies will partner to present a major work, which will be shown at the Heath Ledger Theatre in Perth and Adelaide’s Dunstan Playhouse in 2020.

The production will be performed by both Western Australian and South Australian dancers.

Youth and education programs will be presented alongside the production, further assisting the dance companies to develop current and future audiences.

The McGowan Government is providing $50,000 to the partnership to match the investment from the South Australian Government.
