LATISHA SPARKS
Hailing from Boorloo/Perth, Western Australia, with Malaysian/Indonesian heritage, Latisha discovered her passion for movement early on. She commenced her dance journey at Gail Meade Performing Arts Centre (1999-2009) and later at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School in Melbourne (2010-2012), then finally graduated with an advanced diploma in dance performance from the New Zealand School of Dance (2013-2015).
Throughout her career, she has toured internationally with renowned companies such as Sydney Dance Company, Cooperativa Maura Morales, and in the past six years, prominently with Teac Damsa. Notable performances include ‘Swan Lake’ (Loch na hEala) and ‘MÁM’. In 2022, Latisha was the recipient for the Open Call of Boijmans museum (NL) who invited her to create an interactive installation that brought people together through movement and curiosity.
