The 2027 season marks the culminating artistic statement of Raewyn Hill’s twelve-year tenure as Artistic Director of Co3 Contemporary Dance Australia. As Hill’s final creation for the company, the work is both a deeply personal artistic reflection and a celebration of what comes next. It honours the relationships, mentorship, artistic exchange and shared experiences that have shaped her practice, while looking forward to a new generation of artists, ideas and audiences.
In September 2026, Hill will begin the work’s first research and development period with Storm Helmore, Francesca Fenton, Russell Thorpe, Luci Young and Zachary Wilson. Together, they will enter the studio to begin shaping a work that draws on the artistic questions that have threaded through Hill’s practice: our search for connection and belonging, what we carry with us, and what remains when one chapter of our lives gives way to another.
