Liz Cornish

Liz Cornish is a life long dancer. She commenced ballet classes when she was three years old, and went on to full time training here in Perth, then in Monte Carlo and New York. Liz helped establish David Parsons Dance Company in New York, and performed with the company throughout the Americas and Europe. In addition to performing, Liz worked as a Rehearsal Director. This presented her with the opportunity to remount Parson’s works on many companies including the Paris Opera Ballet, where she worked with Rudolph Nureyev. She has taught master classes in many universities including Stanford, Brown, Julliard, Victorian College of the Arts and WAAPA. Returning to Australia in the 1990s, she danced with Chrissie Parrott Dance Collective and 2 Dance Plus (which became Buzz Dance Theatre and then Co3). Over the decades Liz has created and performed in many independent dance works. Liz is a founding member of Momentum Dance Perth, a group that provides opportunities for mature dancers to continue their art.
