IN.HOUSE 2022
IN.HOUSE 2022
A showcase of WA independent dance makers curated by Raewyn Hill
24 – 26 NOVEMBER 2022
State Theatre Centre of WA
Middar Room
A season of new ideas that resonate through time and space, from Western Australia’s artists and dance makers, curated by Raewyn Hill.
This year's studio season showcase will feature the ideas of three WA artists and dance makers – Mark Haslam, David Mack and Russell Thorpe. Themes explored revolve around boundaries, the multiplicity of our existence, and the meaning and lessons we take from them.
Artists will reflect on, expand and interrogate their practice with the mentorship and support of a professional dance company. This opportunity is a valuable platform for artistic connection and exchange in the independent dance sector that is fresh, raw and honest. We are proud to present these deeply layered and textured ideas as part of this studio season in our Pathways Program.
This is pioneering contemporary dance by new makers in the State of Western Australia.
Content Warning: Some of the works presented contain haze, strobe lighting FX, violent imagery, dynamic sound levels and/ or partial nudity.
