A Revelation Film Festival and XR:WA Commission with Co3 Contemporary Dance & Tura New Music
A cross-discipline 360 VR Project
FourByFour is a project designed to provide creative employment opportunities between sectors and explore new technologies and new approaches to those technologies. Each of the four 4-minute movements produced will delve into the architecture and history of each site through the lens of our current isolation.
Invited choreographers and Co:3 dancers contracted for this project are listed below with respective composers and aligned venues.
Movement 1: Choreographer Serena Chalker working with dancer Storm Helmore with composition by Alice Humphries.

Movement 2: Choreographer Emma Fishwick working with dancer Mitchell Aldridge with composition by Ned Beckley and Josh Hogan.
Location: The Art Gallery of Western Australia
Movement 3: Choreographer Claudia Alessi working with dancer Jo Omodei with composition by Lachlan Skipworth.
Location: Perth Institute of Contemporary Art
Movement 4: Choreographer Scott Elstermann working with dancer Scott Galbraith with composition by Rebecca Erin Smith.
Location: The State Theatre Centre of WA
Raewyn Hill says “We are excited about what our dancers and choreographers will create for this series of multi-disciplinary digital works. The collaboration, exploring physical expression alongside sound and screen technology, has great synergy with our drive in utilising tech in performance.”
The immersive 4-minute short films will be made available free of charge internationally and launched at the XR:WA Conference and Expo; WA’s major annual screen conference for computer gaming, VR and everything in between which takes place from 3-6 December across the Perth Cultural Centre.
