Evgenia Plotkin Mikhailov
Choreographer and Educator
Evgenia Plotkin Mikhailov is an Israeli choreographer and educator, originally from Minsk, Belarus.
She relocated to Israel in 1991, where she deepened her artistic training, completing the renowned dance-training program at Kibbutz Ga’aton before joining the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company 2 and later Vertigo Dance Company.
Evgenia has collaborated with esteemed choreographers such as Odelia Kuperberg, Elad Schechter, Rina Wertheim, Gil Carlos Harush, and Nimrod Freed, enhancing her artistic repertoire. She holds a bachelor’s degree in dance and education from The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
Evgenia’s work has taken her across the world with performances and workshops in USA, Russia, Germany, France, Australia, and New Zealand.
Currently based in Perth, WA, Evgenia lectures at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) while also teaching contemporary dance and choreographing for various ballet schools and dance companies.
Evgenia continues to pursue a diverse dance and movement practice. Her movement language is focused on exploring the world of flow and softness combined with authenticity, strength and self-expression.
