Julian Donaldson

Julian brings to Co3 extensive governance and leadership experience in the cultural sector. He led the Perth International Arts Festival for 10 years up to 2016 and the National Trust of Western Australia up to 2026. This background has given Julian a unique perspective on the invaluable contribution the cultural sector makes in connecting artists and audiences to explore our shared humanity, and the importance of the stories of our intersection with place. Julian has gained valuable governance experience as both a local government mayor and chief commissioner, through his contribution to the City of Perth’s cultural advisory committee, as a member of the international board of ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites) and as a board member of the Perth Theatre Trust (now the WA Arts and Culture Trust) and Perth Symphony Orchestra.
