Zendra Giraudo
Zendra Giraudo (they/she) is an emerging movement-based performer and maker, currently situated in Boorloo/Perth. They recently graduated from WAAPA with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Honours in Performance Making. With training in contemporary and classical dance, and experience in devising and performing theatre work, Zendra is excited by the intersections between artforms. They aspire to make felt, imagined worlds in their work through improvisational, collaborative, and decolonial practice. In 2022, they performed and devised independent theatre work, “The Complete Show of Water Skiing” at The Blue Room Theatre, for Summer Nights 2022. They performed in Emma Fishwick’s first development of “From Here, Together”, and Sam Coren’s “SS Bodach” for SITU-8 with STRUT Dance. In January 2023, Zendra performed their dance/theatre solo, “WHITESNAKE 3000” for Summer Nights in collaboration with Joe Paradise Lui, Emma Fishwick, Eliza Smith and Andrew Sutherland. Zendra performed in Co3’s “Architect of the Invisible”, and Laura Boyne’s commissioned work for the Fremantle Biennale- SIGNALS 2023 “Subliminal Drift.
